Confession
We took tons of pictures of our little visitor this summer, at least that is what I thought while she was here. Now that they are all that we have while waiting for this adoption to go through, I wish I had taken even more. We have turned the photos into slide shows set to music, framed some in our home (including some in our visitors some day bedroom) and I probably look at them more times a week through our i photo section than I can count. We have labeled every picture with her name and tracked down every picture that friends may have taken as well. They are worth their weight in gold to us and every time we find a new one, it is almost like Christmas.
December 2010 Winter Host Program
Cradle of Hope is hosting a winter BOH program and they are still looking for host families. They are also looking for host families for BOH Summer 2011. Participating in that program this past summer was one of the best experiences of our lives, it also allowed us to meet our future daughter. If anyone is interested in learning more about this program, please check out www.cradlehope.org - the children that participate are amazing.
Waiting Game
Our little visitor left on July 23rd and I can't believe we are already heading into November. Missing the little one terribly but we are hoping that we may get a new picture sometime in the next month. Friends of ours are already on their way to Biro to adopt their host children from this summer and they are hoping to be able to get a picture of our little one for us (fingers crossed). They also took a care package over for us filled with goodies she is sure to like.
New to Blogging
I am new to blogging but decided it might be worth a try. We are in the process of adopting an amazing little girl from Birobidjan Russia and this blog is going to focus on our journey.
