11 days left in Biro

We had a nice visit with V yesterday morning at the Desky Dom, my mom was allowed to go with us and met the orphanage director.  They hit it off and talked a bit about Boston (the director has visited Boston). We took V shopping in the afternoon.  First stop was to get boots made in Biro.  She was a bit nervous and did not want to walk around in any of the boots to see how they fit.  I don't think she is used to being the center of attention and she had all of us (J, C, my mom, me and our translator) along with 2 shop keepers all tryi8ng to figure out what she liked.  We bought a very warm pair of black boots with white flowers on them and my mom bought C and V each a fake fur Russian hat which they both loved.  Then it was off to clothes shopping which she really liked.  We bought a pair of jeans, two long sleeve shirts and a sweater.  She really wanted this hot pink Juicy Couture sweat suit outfit that I said no to.  She immediately starting calling "Pappa Pappa come" - already realizing that he is more of a push over than momma.  He showed her some books and that took her attention off the sweat suit.  She was so excited to come back to the hotel and try on her new clothes, it was hard to have her change back into the orphanage clothes and take her back.  She won't be able to stay with us until the 24th.  The going away party is going to be on Dec. 23rd and we are going to go shopping for gifts this week and let her and C pick out a toy for each of the kids in her group to get at the party.  I think they will enjoy that. 

I am not feeling so well today.  Got a major headache last night and then got an upset stomach.  Was not fun and I am staying in at the hotel this morning and J, C and mom went to visit V.  I am hoping to go this afternoon.  Feeling a bit homesick and it is hard knowing that we won't be headed home for 15 more days.  I miss my pets, my home, my bed but this is completely worth it.
