Mom's flight was cancelled this morning and our travel agent is trying to get her on a flight out today. The hard thing is the airport she was supposed to travel out of was closed for a bit and the one she was supposed to fly into was also closed. Hoping that they can get her on a flight out today as we leave tomorrow (if the weather is ok) for Chicago.

We did some sightseeing yesterday and shopping and I thought my feet would fall off but we saw a lot :) Went to Red Square, the Kremlin, St. Basil's, Lenin's Tomb (closed) Arbot street and road the metro with the kids (very interesting) - also road the metra with Mom and our friend Danielle during rush hour, quite an experience. They give new meaning to crushing in subway cars (and I am used to Chicago). We also took V to the dr's yesterday - mandatory for immigration and are heading to the US embassy today.
We had a huge snowstorm in New York but it's getting better. Safe travels.
